Just outside of the busy city of Ubud in Bali, Indonesia are the rice fields that feed the nation. Rice farmers can be seen in the fields each day planting, weeding, and harvesting the rice which can be in any stage of it’s life cycle, even in the same field.
In this photo farmers use petrol driven plows, looking like giant lawnmowers, to till a muddy rice field. White egrets follow them around, eating the small creatures that are unearthed.
