Our house sit in Western Australia was in “the bush”, what Americans call “the country.” It was 25 minutes to Mt. Barker where there is a grocery store and an hour to Albany which has some decent restaurants.
We had been jonesin’ for some pizza and the frozen stuff really does taste like cardboard. Fortunately, the homeowners in Kendenup, WA, had an old bread machine and pizza dough is dead simple. Just add some flour, yeast, water, olive oil, salt and a bit of sugar into the machine and voila, a pizza crust.
The one item we were able to find in the grocery stores is good tomato sauce. Add some veggies and thinly sliced pepperoni and, as you can see, our first attempt came out quite delicious. So good in fact, we made it a weekly treat.
