Every night in Chiang Mai thousands of vendors sell their wares in the famous night market. The size of the market is staggering, going on for so many blocks that it would take hours to see all of it.

We enjoyed exploring the many items for sale; from cheap souvenirs to expensive jewelry, and lots of handmade crafts and art. There are also plenty of food stalls and restaurants to have a meal, snack or drink and keep on shopping. We also both loved receiving a Thai massage there.

The Edogawa Commemorative Garden is located on the grounds of the Gosford Regional Gallery. Extending over 4,000 square meters, the garden is based on a traditional shuyu (strolling style) garden, incorporating Japanese features. It is a lovely place, with meandering pathways, a roofed Japanese pavilion overlooking the Koi pond, raked dry stone garden and a traditional Japanese tea house.⠀

A large measure of the shore of Toowoon Bay beach in New South Wales Australia is festooned with huge flat-topped boulders, interspersed with sand and rock pools. It is an extraordinary place and I couldn't help taking dozens of photographs of all the interesting vistas.⠀

The Butcher Bird may not be much to look at, but it has a lovely, fluting song. The homeowners in New South Wales, Australia, where we are house and pet sitting, feed them small pieces of meat and they are happy to come down out of the trees and land on the deck railing to eat them. Sometimes if we are standing near the railing, they will alight a few feet away and stare at us, begging for food. Afterwards they fly into the tree and reward us with a song.
