Although enjoying the beach and clear blue water is one of the main reasons folks travel to Ao Nang, in Thailand, the beach there on the shore is not much to look at.
It is mostly full of boats coming in to shore to transport people to the incredibly gorgeous offshore beaches around all the islands only a short cruise away. One of them, Ko Phi Phi, was made famous as the location for the Leonardo DiCaprio film The Beach.
