Koh Haa means five islands in Thai. This area of six huge limestone cliffs (someone miscounted), marks a huge coral reef. Considered one of the prime diving and snorkeling sites in the world, it is home to thousands of kinds of fishes and marine life.
It is a two hour ride in a large boat, or a one hour ride in a speedboat from the pier in Koh Lanta to reach Koh Haa and there are a dozen companies that organize excursions here. During our full day snorkeling trip, we were dazzled by the clarity of the water and the variety of sea life.
