Australian outlets, for 220 volts, are different from American ones of course. They have either two pins that are on an angle and a straight one or just the two angled ones.
But they also all have a small switch above them which means that you can turn off appliances at the source which is quite handy. It also prevents arcing for higher load devices. Clever!
