La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park is a 70 acre wonderland with manicured gardens. It contains 3.5 kilometers of paved trails through cloud forest and rainforest.There are wildlife exhibits similar to what one would see in a zoo, but all of the housed animals have been rescued.
The wildlife exhibits include an aviary, a butterfly house, monkeys, hummingbirds, frogs, jungle cats and snakes. Also on the grounds are a reconstructed typical Tico casita, a trout lake and a restaurant.
There are five different waterfalls in the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Magia Blanca, at 120 feet, is the second largest.
