Indoor Bowls With The Locals in Western Australia

Indoor Bowls

On Mondays, some of the locals play “bowls.” It is played in a mostly unused community room a few minutes from where we are staying. The objective is to roll biased balls down the mat so that they stop close to a smaller ball called a “jack” or “kitty”.

Fortunately, the folks we play with are not very competitive and just play for the fun of it, so we have been accepted into the weekly games. We have both been slowly improving at it and today, we both had some good bowls and felt like assets to the teams we were on.
